Bacteriostatic water is the standard companion item for most lyophilized peptide vials. If a peptide arrives as a dry powder, bacteriostatic water is commonly used to reconstitute it into a liquid solution for measured research use.
This bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which helps inhibit microbial growth after the vial has been accessed. That makes bacteriostatic water more practical than plain sterile water when a vial may be drawn from more than once.
Progression Peptides offers bacteriostatic water in 3mL and 10mL options so you can match the vial size to the peptide and protocol. Smaller vials are convenient for single-product use, while larger vials make sense when reconstituting multiple peptides or larger total quantities.
Reconstitution Notes: When mixing peptides, inject bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and let the peptide dissolve gently. Do not shake aggressively. A slow swirl is enough for most peptide vials.
Storage: Store unopened bacteriostatic water at room temperature, away from direct light. Do not freeze. Once a peptide has been reconstituted, store the mixed peptide according to that peptide’s instructions, usually refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C.
