SNAP-8, also called acetyl octapeptide-3, is a synthetic eight-amino-acid cosmetic research peptide patterned after a region of the SNAP-25 protein.
Researchers examine SNAP-8 in cosmetic-formulation and expression-line models. The peptide is proposed to affect the SNARE machinery involved in neurotransmitter release, but dedicated peer-reviewed evidence for SNAP-8 alone remains limited.
Its sequence was designed to model part of SNAP-25 and explore whether a short peptide can alter SNARE-complex assembly. Topical delivery and skin penetration are separate experimental questions that depend heavily on formulation.
Each vial contains 10mg of lyophilized SNAP-8 powder for controlled laboratory research after reconstitution.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Add the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and let the powder dissolve gently. Do not shake.
Storage: Store lyophilized peptides at -20 degrees C. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2-8 degrees C and use within 30 days unless the product guide says otherwise.
For Research Purposes Only. Not for human consumption. Not for veterinary use. Sold strictly for in vitro and laboratory research applications.
